EXAMPLES OF STANDARD TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS OF THERMAL ISOLATION

1. Pipeline of сondensate.

Diameter is 57 mm., lenght 80 m. Expense of the heat carrier of 1000 kg/h. Temperature of the heat carrier +90 0C. It is located in the open air. Minimum temperature of air-25 0C.

Requirement: to minimize a thermal loss, to achieve temperature on an isolation surface not above +60 °C.

Decision: covering by material TSM Ceramic, layer of 1,4 mm. Temperature drop on 20 ° C. Temperature on a surface +59 0C.

 

2. Pipeline of network water.

Diameter is 530 mm., lenght 52 m. Expense of the heat carrier of 2500 kg/h. Temperature of the carrier +70 0C. It is located in the open air at the height more than 10 m.

Requirement: to minimize carrier temperature reduction, to achieve maintenance of a rated heat flux.

Decision: application 2 mm thick Folgokeramik. A temperature of carrier heat drop at the end of the pipeline on 5 °C. Rated heat flux of 110 W/m. Rated heat flux of 62 W/m.

Benefits of technology:

1. Long life cycle of a covering (warranty period of operation of 10 years).

2. Protects a surface from influence of external environment at proper splice closure by means of glue and a high-strength adhesive tape.

3. There is no impact of external factors on heatphysical properties of materials throughout all life cycle. 

4. Reduction of a capital expenditure, and also operating costs and repair, a possibility of fast access to the damaged pipeline sections.

5. A possibility of carrying out heat-insulating works in the open air within a year.

6. High efficiency of heat-insulating works.

3. Steam line of superheated steam.

Diameter is 273 mm. Temperature of the carrier +440 0C.

Requirement: to achieve temperature on an isolation surface no more than +43 °C, not to allow destruction of heat insulation from influence of an external corrosive medium.

Decision: application of a three-layered heat-insulating design:

The 1st layer - a mat from ceramic fiber LYTX-312 (temperature of application is +1260 °C, density is 128 kg/m3) thickness is 25 mm;

The 2nd layer - a mat from ceramic fiber LYTX-312 (temperature of application is +1260 °C, density is 128 kg/m3) thickness is 25 mm;

The 3rd layer - Folgokeramik of 1,5 mm (it is used as a finishing heat-insulation and protective layer for two main layers).

The general thickness of a heat-insulation layer is 52 mm. The surface mass of isolation is 7 kg/sq.m. Temperature on a surface of isolation +43 0C.

4. A steam line of the fulfilled steam.

Diameter is 326 mm. Temperature of the carrier +250 0C.

Requirement: to achieve temperature on an isolation surface no more than +43 °C, not to allow destruction of heat insulation from influence of an external corrosive medium.

Decision: application of a three-layered heat-insulating design:

The 1st layer - a mat from ceramic fiber LYTX-312 (temperature of application шы 1260 °C, density is 128 kg/m3), 25 mm;

The 2nd layer - chemically sewed frothed polyethylene, 4 mm;

The 3rd layer - the aluminum foil duplicated by fibreglass mesh (it is used as a protective layer).

The general thickness of a heat-insulation layer is 30 mm. The surface mass of isolation is 3,5 kg/sq.m. Temperature on a surface of isolation +43 0C.

5. Capacity for storage of the softened water.

Diameter is 15,2 m. Height is 12 m. Water temperature +30 0C.

Requirement: preserving of the set water temperature for the term, not less than 120 hours.

Decision: covering material TSM Ceramic 1,4 mm thick.

The water temperature drop during in the winter period is made 2 °C.

 

 

6. Drum of steam boiler

Diameter is 1560 mm., lenght 11,9 m. Temperature of the carrier +316 0C.

Requirement: decrease in a thermal loss and achievement of temperature on a surface of isolation of +45 °C.

Decision: a heat-insulating design (it is executed according to the sketch): 

1. drum wall;

2. wire framework (Ø6);

3. the mat from ceramic fiber 1260 LYTX-312 (temperature of application 1260 0C, density is 128 kg/m3) thickness is 25 mm;

4. pin of fastening Ø6x45;

5. spring washer 15х15;

6. an insert from ceramic fiber 1260 LYTX-312, fastening on heat-resistant glue;

7. covering layer from fiber glass fabric I-200.

Additional fastening - bandages from a galvanized wire of 1,2 - 1,5 mm.       

The general thickness of a heat-insulating design is 51 mm. Temperature on a surface of isolation +44 0C. The surface mass of isolation is 7 kg/sq.m.

EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL SOLUTION ABOUT LINING FOR THERMAL UNITS AND OVENS

7. The furnace for oil heating.

Requirement: lining of the furnace for oil heating. Working temperature +850 0C.

Decision: 

1. a mat from ceramic fiber 1260 LYTX-312, thickness of 150 mm (three layers), fastening to the furnace body - pins;

2. the boards 1260 LYTX-264B, thickness is 50 mm;

3. heat resisting concrete.

The general thickness of lining is 200 mm.

Calculation and design of heat-insulating designs using the offered materials is made by specialists of the company on the basis of the preliminary specifications taking into account all operating conditions of object. All heattechnical calculations are carried out on the basis of requirements Construction Norms and Regulations 2.04.14-88 (1998) "Heat insulation of processing equipment and pipelines", Construction Norms and Regulations of II-3-79 "Construction heat engineering", DBN B. 2.6-31:2006 "Thermal insulation of buildings", Instructions for design of linings of industrial furnaces from fire-resistant fibrous materials BCH 429-81 and other regulating documents.
