Refractory blocks (ceramic fiber blocks) are the most common and popular product for performing lining works of various complexity. Modular blocks are usually made of ceramic fiber mats (blankets) through their pressing. After that, refractory modular blocks are fixed in the compressed state by special tape. After the modules have been installed using special fasteners, the tapes are to be cut. Ceramic fiber blocks fill the required volume. Lining blocks are manufactured by the two largest companies who produce the high-temperature refractory insulation materials - Luyang Unifrax Trading Company Limited (PRC) and Morgan Advanced Materials (EU). Due to these companies' modern equipment and innovative technological processes, refractory modules significantly exceed the standard products (for example, fireclay bricks) in all aspects.
These refractory blocks have a number of advantages, such as: energy savings, resistance to thermal shocks and hot gas streams, low heating capacity, low weight and simple installation (as a result, reduced labor costs) and others.
Refractory ceramic fiber blocks are used during the modernization of different furnaces and industrial equipment, during the insulation of reforming units and other tasks.
Lining blocks can be produced in various sizes, based on different types of ceramic fiber mats (blankets) for miscellaneous temperature and operating conditions, and also with broad range of fasteners. This enables the refractory blocks to solve a lot of technical issues regarding the lining of furnaces and other high-temperature equipment.
